The Holiday Swap was a delightful treat to get into the holiday spirit. I loved following Charlie and Cass as they switched places because Charlie lost her sense of taste and smell after a concussion. Without her sense of taste and smell, Charlie cannot judge the holiday baking show she's currently filming. Of course, her sister Cass is there to help. This is the personal escape she needs after breaking up with her long-time boyfriend. I didn't want this story to end! This novel was the perfect blend of romance, family, and holiday cheer.

Super cheesy holiday fluff that read like one of those Hallmark/Netflix holiday movies that you'll watch and be entertained by, but really never think about again after the end. (That's not a bad thing, per se; it certainly fits a mold.)
If you're looking for a swoony book, though, this isn't it. The chemistry between the characters was totally flat and the two main characters were super hard to tell apart. (A good thing, I suppose, for the people they're fooling, but not so much the reader.)

All the elements of a Hallmark movie on the page, including all of the little plot holes & situations where it is very necessary to suspend your disbelief. The story was sugary sweet, leaned heavily on miscommunication & keeping secrets tropes, & was wrapped up in a pretty bow by the end. I wanted to enjoy it more, but it was hard for me to not feel frustrated by the end. Still a cute story though!!

Twins Charlie and Cass switch lives after Charlie sustains an injury on the set of the TV series she co-hosts. What's could possibly go wrong? Add in a cute firefighter with an equally adorable dog and a sexy physicians assistant and things start to get interesting.
This book was a cute holiday read which I really enjoyed, but I wish there was more...spice. Other cute story with likeable characters and it's an easy read to put you in the holiday mood.

This is the literary form of a Hallmark Christmas movie that you put on while you’re decorating the tree or baking cookies for background noise, except you have to read it. 11/10 predictable at every ‘turn’. There were some parts of the book that were hard to get past IMO but it was a light, quick, and easy romcom space that I’m sure tons of readers thrive in. Not yucking yums - just a little choochie for me!

The Holiday Swap is the perfect, ooey, gooey, melt in your mouth, Hallmark-movie-esque read for your Christmas loving heart!
When I ordered my copy from Book of the Month, I was hoping for a sappy, probably somewhat corny, Christmas romance. Boy, did it deliver! From common tropes to instilling a STRONG desire to bake something yummy, I thoroughly enjoyed my read-through. At times, I felt it was almost too over the top, but I enjoyed it all the same. If you're looking for an easy, fun read for the holiday season, I highly recommend you try this one out!
