Still not really my cup of tea romance wise. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed reading it but it was the other aspects of the world and characters that captivated me more than the main romance. The "mate" thing seems to make all of these pretty insta-lovey so maybe I should just accept that that's how most of the romances will play out but ugh I like a little indecision in my romance! Some confliction, some angst, some will they or wont they. The mate thing just makes it all seem so...inevitable

Tropes/Themes:
-MM paranormal romance
-Series follows seven heavenly warriors cursed with the deadly sins
-Nephilim (Greed) x Dragon Shifter
-Fated mates
-Friends with benefits
-Dual POV
-Book #2 in an interconnected standalone series

This was a nice palate cleanser romance. Fun, entertaining, didn’t do anything particularly bad or mind blowing. I’m intrigued enough to continue on in the series (especially since the next book is a marriage of convenience!).

CWs for trauma, nightmares/flashbacks, graphic violence, murder/death

Story: 3/5

Length 9h10min

Kyo and Castor made my heart ACHE! Their love was so unexpected to both of them, yet entirely consuming. As they both realized their feelings meant more than they'd originally thought, more and more obstacles stacked up against them. An impending war, an arranged marriage, an unexpected battle that nearly resulted in Kyo's death... the universe wasn't letting Castor and Kyo have their happily ever after without a fight. Luckily they were both willing to fight as hard as they could to be together. My heart shattered right alongside Castor's during the events toward the end of this book, and I totally wasn't expecting to cry like a baby, but I did 😂 I am really looking forward to the next book, too! The overarching plot of these books is so compelling and knowing we continue on with Daman and Warrin has me so excited to see what happens!

Now and always

Sinfully delightful, that’s what this series is. Although Galen and Simon are still my favs so far—I love grumpy marshmallows—Castor and Kyo are fantastic. I mean, dragons, a greedy nephilim, smoking hot banter and jealousy, adorable Gray who found a hilarious dinosaur, grudgingly swoony romance, did I mention the sexy dragon, demon battles, and some unexpected bombshells, it all adds up to an enthralling read that I want more of.

“You asked me once what I believed in. This is my answer. I believe in you. In us. In this moment right now.” For two people who started out saying they only wanted sex—pffft, yeah right—and for all the mistakes made, I love how fiercely and intensely Kyo and Castor love each other, especially when they’re mushy, even when they try not to be. So many amazing feels, family, friendships and love, I can’t wait to see what happens next with Daman. I bet it will have me shivering with happiness.
