Didn't realize that this wasn't a stand-alone story until I got to the end. The pacing didn't really work for me and I'm more interested in what happens when they have to create a new society. But the author doesn't get to that until book 2. We'll see if she reels me into the second book, but I'm not terribly hopeful.

I liked this book. It felt rushed at times but it was a fast read and was enjoyable. I particularly liked the fact that none of the characters were written as being purely good or purely bad, they were just written as being human. Looking forward to the next book in the series!

I really wasn't sure I would like this one. I was surprised that by the end I was so in the story and I was angry when it stopped. I wanted more right now lol. I think some of the characters are a bit wishy-washy but the anticipation won in the end...what happens next?!?!?!

This was pretty good. Fast paced. Fun to read. No idea where it was headed, so it was unexpected. I did NOT KNOW it was going to be the first of a series though and I kind of wish I had because I just wanted to read a ONE AND DONE but now with its cliffhanger ending, I've gotta wait for the sequel. UG.

While I liked the different points of view, 4 may have been too many. 2 or 3, yes. 4 was verging on too many.

Hmm, No Safety in Numbers was a good book. A solid 3 stars but I think it could have been flushed out better? I'm not sure how to explain it but I think this would have been the perfect book to read in middle school & I would have enjoyed it immensely. I still enjoyed it but it was different? This also reminded me a lot like The Mist with the characters being stuck in the mall, although it was for entirely different reasons.
