Again. I wish I knew this was a prequel to [b:No Big Deal|24293214|No Big Deal|Danni Keane|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1420399390s/24293214.jpg|43873609]. Having read the two shorts now, I get Joshy a bit more than I did having read No Big Deal as a stand alone. This made me cry, not only because it was sad, Josh dealing with the passing of his father, but it brought back memories of me losing my dad at a young age.
I get it now though; Bradley and his Joshy and why things are the way they are. Ugh. The boys are who they are, frustrating and young and just so in love that at times it's all they see. But they are lovely and I am glad I had a chance to come back and meet them this way because young love, can last.

And all the while Bradley stays there, holding my hand. Not letting go.

Ok, so normally I can't really connect to novellas or short stories, but this 27 page teeny thing had me crying - at several different points! I don't know if I was somehow already overly emotional or what, but damn!
This is about loss and love and growing up. Great novella

Very emotional
Honestly, I hadn't realized this was a YA book. It popped up in my suggestions on Amazon. What happened with Josh, his family and Bradley. Brought out a lot of tears. Young love is explored and it was entirely about what Josh thought about the events in his. A short and sweet story. Not sure it was exactly a good ending, given all that had gone on, but it was beautiful and hopeful.

I've received a free copy of the ebook via Making Connections group, so thanks to them and Danni Keane for letting me read it.
This ebook was a nice, short read that I enjoyed. It also wasn't as sad as I expected it to be, which I'm still not sure about if it's a good thing or not. I do think that if the story was longer, it would have done the characters and storyline more justice. I feel like the characters and plot weren't as developed as they could have been. I did enjoy the characters as far as they were described; Josh and Bradley seem like sweet guys.

This was a cute story and I really enjoyed it. I didn't see much of a plot to this one, but even with the minor one in there, it was really good. Because it was a short story (About 27 pages), there wasn't much time to get to know the characters, but in saying that, the character descriptions were very good in the few pages we got to meet them.
Okay, I must admit the warning at the front of the book (look below at 2% of you don't know what I'm talking about :) Had me stumped, but I thought that there were more YA warnings than Adult ones. It didn't feel like an Adult story, so I am assuming it wasn't. The only thing that might have required a bit of attention was the language in there (A few f-bombs.) And you know, hormonal teenage action ;) Lol. But yeah, wasn't bad enough to be considered Adult, so...confused as to why that is there...
Oh, and awesome cover- love it!! :)
But, overall an awesome story and a really good one for a quick read. This one is worth your time!!
Favorite Quote from book, and the reason for the title :)
"And all the while Bradley stays there, holding my hand. Not letting go. "
*NOTE: Okay, this note is mainly for me, I'm not going to add this to my 2013 reading challenge as it is below 60 pages (Which is the only* requirement for my 2013 challenge) so, I read this on the 19/3/13 :)

I really liked this book!
I loved the fact that unlike most LGBTQ young adult novels, it didn't involving coming out or a gay bashing. Instead I was faced with a beautiful story about grieving, young love and the constant need to be good enough.
Even though it was a shot story it managed to get to me in it's limited amount of pages. To be honest I got to the end and wished I had more to read!
All in all, a great read with a sweet ending. Can't wait to read more of Danni Keane's work.
