Great end to a solid series!
While this fell into the novella column (I assume), it was well written. It was just enough of everything, character development, sizzle, romance/ sweet talk.
Thoroughly enjoyed this one.

Loved, loved this one!! Kate Stewart is becoming one of my favorite authors. I have no idea how she made such a complete story fit in this novella. Ren! Ren! Ren! Loved him! He was a baseball player at the peak of his career who makes some really bad mistakes after he gets his heart broken. This is a second chance romance and the love/hate chemistry these two have is sooo good. Their banter was funny and witty and when they get together it was definitely explosive. I had so much fun with this one!

Oh wow, I really loved this novella I've already added the other two books in the series to my TBR! Ren and Erica start off with an amazing relationship until Erica decides to leave suddenly and without explanation. When Erica's PR firm sends her to clean up his image she realizes how hard it is to toe the line between doing her job and trying to keep her feelings from taking over. For a novella, there was so much story in here and I certainly was swept away with it.

Romance with a hot baseball player? Sign me up. I loved this book and series almost as much as I love baseball. It was filled with growth, love, hurt feelings, snark and steam. This is a series that you don't want to miss by a fantastic author.

Sweeping the Series by Kate Stewart 5 stars
Heartache, hurt, and bitterness weighing you down! Well just pick up the Makavoy plan and be on your way to hot mess central! It's not the best laid plan but it seems to work for Ren... except it really isn't.
In true Kate Stewart fashion, Sweeping the Series wins the trophy. It's funny, has ridiculous- I mean absolutely ridiculous lying, awesome shenanigans, and even has the feels. Anger, disgust, love, hope....you will feel it all in this quick hit.
Watch it because bases are loaded and you won't believe who comes off the bench...

Sweeping the Series is a romantic comedy novella about Ren, a womanizer who seems to spend more time feeding the tabloids with salacious stories than focusing on his career as a major league baseball catcher. Erica is the PR representative hired to clean up his image. Oh, and she’s also his ex-girlfriend/love of his life. There’s a love/hate dynamic between them that gives off all kinds of sparks.
This is a standalone story, but if you’ve read [b:Anything but Minor|35553325|Anything but Minor (Balls in Play, #1)|Kate Stewart|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1498775909s/35553325.jpg|50286087] or [b:Major Love|31226522|Major Love (Balls in Play, #2)|Kate Stewart|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1476290641s/31226522.jpg|51883206], you’ll be thrilled to know that Rafe and Alice, as well as Andy and April, return to support Ren.
There are many things to enjoy here: the second chance romance, the wonderful friendships, and the wounded bad boy angle. There’s a little bit of cheese towards the end, but I couldn’t help but root for Ren and Erica to get back together and make sweet, sweet (or dirty) love. My favorite thing about the novella is that it’s pee your pants funny. I swear I laughed so hard my stomach hurt and tears rolled down my face. The main culprits: April and Alice. Oh, how I missed this crazy crew! If you haven’t read the other books in the Balls in Play series, do yourself a favor and pick them up.

A quick read and Kate Stewart always makes it good and spicy, but the others in the series had more emotion. This one was a miscommunication trope and I hate those so much.
