These book shots are nice quick stories that fill in between the larger novels. There isn't a lot of depth to this story. But there is a murder, Michael bennett is trying unravel the story. He gets caught up in a government cover up and an adventure occurs. Not a bad quick read.

It was a very fast paced book. So fast that I found it hard to follow in some places. I much prefer the full length novels in this series. Was still very well written but no depth to this book.

Short but good book by one of my favorite authors, James Patterson, about one of my favorite characters, Michael Bennett.

A Detective Michael Bennett thriller novella in which he investigates an apparent suicide that turns out not to be a suicide after all.

Pretty Good!

This was my first time reading a BookShot. It’s great if you want a quick read. But I know now that I prefer full length novels because I wasn’t ready for it to end. The story was fast paced and will hold your interest until the last page. The plot wasn’t predictable and will keep you guessing. Definitely worth a read.

not bad for a short book. Enjoyed the story, interesting characters. Loved the grandpa/grand daughter duo.

Audiobook
I keep trying these Michael Bennett books and i just don't really like them. This one was ok, a bit scattered but it kept my attention. I might try to read one next time instead of audiobook, it might be the narrator I am struggling with.

Bennett and the gang are back! This was a fun easy read. Michael gets pulled into a weird case involving a previous declared soldier showing up dead. Since it is a shorter book, it doesn't have much of a chase and the kids don't make much of an appearance, but it does stay true to the characters. A great addition to the series.

As always well written. A cop tries to solve a murder and gets himself in a mess with some bad dudes. Good story.
