Wow was this an intense book. It was tough at times to read how Kayne treated Ellie and to see her go through it, but of course not everything is as it seems. The thing that made this book work so well was having Kayne's point of view without it I don't think the book would have been as good. Being able to get inside his head and seeing the reasoning behind his otherwise not so nice behavior is what made this be easier to take in. This book is very, very hot! It gives you a darker side of the BDSM world so if your sensitive to that then this book is probably not your cup of tea. If you can handle it then I recommend giving this a read. I can't wait to read the next book to see what's in store for Kayne and Ellie after the ending in this one.

I don’t think I’m old enough to read this book. It makes 50 Shades seem like it for preschoolers. I wasn’t sure what dark romance meant... it’s not my thing and I won’t be reading the other books in the series. I need to go do a confession and I’m not even catholic.

This genre is not my bag but I like M Never’s books so I’ll trust her process with the series!

Oh my
Just a great story. It had everything. Mayhem, misdirection, lust lots and lots of lust. It even has moments that make you uncomfortable. Try it...

Holy a ton of sex Batman! Um yeah, I think there was a story. All I pretty much read was sex, all the time, and a lot of it was pretty hot. This book is on the darker side, no hearts or flowers here. It does end on a cliffy, not a major one, but enough that it makes me want to move on to the next one. Seriously, a lot of sex. I might need a cold shower!

Narration was great, but I hate to say there was just too much sex with no movement of the story. I wanted more story. I get that the torture needed to happen for us to see what Ellie had to go through but still, it was just over kill. I'll listen to book 2 just to see how that goes.
