On the surface level, Oshimi's stories seem perverse and edgy but within the meat of all his stories he care so much, not only for his characters, but for lost young people hurt by our rigid and unkind world

What was that kiss about? Who kissed me? Was it Mari? Or Komori? And just who are you?

Ill be good and only log the final vol since I read this all in one day lol. I have some issues w the end that I need to think ab more but overall this was fantastic and complicated and v much worth my time. Oshimi always is even when his work is… hard to deal w.

Also he clearly has crazy mommy issues uh I hope that’s working out for him

this is one of the most interesting books of all time. plot twists worked well and it definitely made me uncomfortable.

this was… actually pretty good! I went into it thinking it was your typical gender bent story but it actually wasnt!! and i loved that.

To see a representation of DID and gender identity was sooooo interesting, especially when using the “gender bent” genre. I genuinely did not think this author was going to be going this route and honestly… it bumped up the rating for me.

Typically any form of DID rep is shown disrespectfully.. very much misinformed.. but the way this manga handles it.. really wasn’t? You feel sympathetic towards Mari as she’s struggling within herself and as the story progresses we see the way she slowly starts to deteriorate (until the ending ofc!)

a quick good read!

Some good fucking manga

This manga has somewhat made me realize why Kimi No Nawa has been my favorite movie for so long. It has changed something in me. it's a brutally deep and visceral depiction of so many things gender and identity.

Came to know of this and Shuzo Oshimiri from a video essay on YouTube, and I am forever grateful.

Oshimi's pen work is absolutely spectacular. A story that remains open in its interpretation until the very end and that is what really gives it its strength.

I liked the ending to Welcome Back, Alice more honestly, I feel like this one was left fairly open ended. Not that Welcome Back, Alice wasn't open ended but whatever.
I like it more overall though. I find it a really interesting look at gender.

I have read all of it I just didn't want to add all the volumes individually here.
