Couldn’t put the book down. Absolutely loved it. You will need a box of tissues though. Lots of emotional tears from this book. Some moments caused gentle weeping while other moments had me ugly crying as I felt for the characters.
Such a passionate and beautiful unconditional love story.

I think I may not be a good fit for Brittany Cherry’s. Or I may not be a big fan of melodrama novels.
I really wanted to like this books. I read western wave and I can’t remember if I gave it a 3 star or 2 stars ✨. I knew I loved the being of the book but by the end of the book I wanted to thrown that book across the room 😂. I felt that the drama was too much and added nothing to it. Like how can you add so much trauma in one book and think that’s ok.
Anyway I Kept seeing great reviews for this book so I I thought why not. …. Wrong mistake and the only reason I read the whole book was due to the fact I was doing a buddy read. I would have DNF this book in chapter 2.
🚩SPOILERS 🚩
By chapter 2 there is a hookup up scene and to me the MMC was like not it. I was not impressed by him nor cared for him. So I was like why
MMC: got better but not that better. He only got better when he had to deal with his trauma.
FMC: was cute but annoying. I liked her at time but was over her quickly
The plot : Really a wanna be taboo romance 🙄 miss me with that. If you wanna do taboo then go all the way not the half bait weird stuff. Like he is 19 and she is 21. Be is closer to being 20 I’m sure. And that she is a Student teacher who is a tutor. Like for real. You should have just kept her being a tutor, who is dealing with a crisis of trying to figure out what she wanted to do with her life and this young man who got left back and is still in high school at 19 flirting with her. Instead of her being some student teacher, who is having a relationship with a student, who is 19.
Not only is that weird it’s even weirder that he keeps calling her “ teach” like so annoying and cringe 😬.
Also, this book did not have as much drama as western waves but of course it still had drama. So get ready for that in this book surprisingly enough this book had a lot of sexual content and it was a bit gross because they’re so young. A 19-year-old who keeps talking about how he wants to please this woman, and talk about sit on my face I’m gonna do all this to you how pleasurable he is for her, Excuse me he’s 19 years old. And yes, they say that maybe he had been a whore before, but he started doing that after his mother died that’s not that long to have been that skillful in his skills of getting a woman turned on.
Anyways, this book just was not it for me. I probably would have given it A 1 star, but I really like the funny parts of this book and I do think that Britney is a good writer. I would love to read more of her other books, but this is booked to that I was not feeling and I don’t think I want to go into a book 3.
I was very surprised and how sexual this book was compared to the other book that I’ve read from her. It took a while for the main characters to get together, but it was pretty nice even though in my review of Western wave, I was very surprised that he hooked up that way I felt like something was missing, and I think that that’s the case in this book there’s a lot of missing parts in there, as well as parts that were too long. This book was entirely too long.
In conclusion melodrama, not for me and maybe sorry Brittany Cherry not for me either

When @bcherryauthor says this book is filled with ALL THE FEELS, she means it. This book is angsty, filled with grief, heartbreak, love, healing, and everything in between.
Starlet and Milo meet at a college party and think their one-night stand is all they will have. That is, until Starlet walks in to her new student teaching position and sees Milo there. 😬
Starlet and Milo connect over their shared heartbreak and grief, and that makes it harder and harder for them to stay away from each other. Even when they know they should.
It’s hard to say much without giving things away, but I will say this book had some surprising twists and turns. Milo and Starlet have their work cut out for them as they battle their own demons and find a way to happiness. ❤️🩹
This book is heavy, but worth it. Check the trigger warnings, but if you can, jump into this story and let yourself feel ALL the feels.
