The second and final book in the gilded series.
I truly enjoy fairy tale renditions. And Marissa makes this one truly original and fun to read.
I should have reread the first books beforehand, cuz i had little trouble to remember how it ended.
But there was enough information in the second book that made me recall som of the history.
If you like fairy tales you should give this a try.

I feel like this one was better than the first. It started a little slow, so I was worried, but it was full of action, love, and adventure. It was cool to hear folklore stories from different cultures.

Cried my eyes out at the end. But very good book, great story, expertly written as could be expected with Marissa Meyer.
A new (Rumpelstiltskin) retelling that is very worth it.
And I like how the novel ended, a very nice touch.

I enjoyed this book. It was a bit slow in the middle. I but the beginning and end were good and I thought it was a really nice retelling of the fairy tale.

Maybe 2.5 ⭐️ I liked Gilded better than this one, but overall both books in this duology are just “meh.”
