This is a short novella, I am not a fan of novella's, but I wanted to read this one to see if some of the questions from Lucas and Mia's story were answered, one was.

Pros: A nice little short that offers a good window into the author's book-world, and a great example of the types of themes to expect. Even when the characters had desires and concerns I didn't share, they were presented in a very relateable and rational fashion. A fun romance tale.

cons: Werewolves use play-bow gesture to submit, which may confuse dog owners and canine enthusiasts. I was expecting them to leap into a game of tag.

**My thanks to NetGalley and All Night Reads for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

This is a very short novella that comes after the True Alpha series and gives us just a little more of Mia and Lucas.

The Christmas part of the title is misleading as this story has NOTHING to do with Christmas.

We yet again see how sweet Lucas is and how far he is willing to go for Mia, but we also get to mostly see a moody Mia which did annoy me slightly.

It's a nice bit off fluff and makes you feel good at the end but doesn't really hold any substance to it.

It was great to revisit Mia and Lucas. Theirs is a sweet love story and it is great the Lucas has stepped back into his Alpha role. It was also great to see a little more of Lev and hopefully he has met his potential mate. Look forward to more of the Shifters in Seattle.

While A True Alpha Christmas is a novella that was written with the possibility of being a standalone novella, it honestly is more like an epilogue to the True Alpha serial series.

I really enjoyed the extra look into Lucas and Mia's story from the original serial series. One of the few things that disappointed me about the original True Alpha series was how it ended, so I was really pumped to be given a bit more of an ending. With that said, this story didn't have all of the smoldering sex that I had come to expect from the True Alpha series; there was a bit at the very beginning and at the very end. And while there was a bit of drama to ensue, it wasn't really enough to make it an outstanding standalone story.

If you're wanting to read this book, I highly recommend reading the entire True Alpha series first, you'll get more out of this book in the end. Reading it as a standalone novel would probably leave you feeling a bit disappointed, and the series is just too good to not completely enjoy!
