I loved this so much! Colton and Ashley's story was so beautifully perfect! I really liked how we got to check up on other characters not only from this series but another as well. Cruz captured my heart from the beginning and I loved watching them become a family. I can't wait for more from LK Farlow!

Actual review is 3.5 Stars...Ashley is a hopeless romantic who believes in soulmates and love. After photographing a wedding she meets Colton and her heart thinks he's the one until he speaks to her and is rude. Now a week later Ashley needs help and is told to go to Colton as he is the best. Colton doesn't want to help her, but Ashley is persistent and will wear him down.

Colton is very hot and cold in this book and while the author could have not said anything this is acknowledged by characters in the book. I love that Ashley was idealistic, but wouldn't let someone belittle her and take advantage of her. Ashley and Colton were cute together and I love the way the two deal with the surprise left on Colton's door. I wish this book would have been a little longer and that I wouldn't get so much whiplash at time with Colton's behavior. This is a light enemies to more book that would be perfect for a little summer reading. I will definitely be checking out more of L.K.'s books because I really like how strong she writes her female characters.

Colton is a straight-laced and unbending as they come. He is ruthlessly honest and unapologetic. When he first runs into Ashley he is put off immediately.

Ashley is an artist, a dreamer and she is in tune with love. Between the couples that she works with and when she finds her soulmate. Even when said soulmate is against everything that she is.

It was entertaining to read the push and pull between Colton and Ashley. I loved Ashley's tenacity, and I also applauded her for standing up for herself and not letting Colton walk all over her.

When a surprise rocks Colton to his core, it is when you see Ashley truly shine and Colton sees her for what she is worth. He realizes the depth of character she has and wants to know more.

So out of all the Rebel books so far, this one has to be by far my favorite. I ADORED Ashley. I love her personality, her wit and just her soul. She was so relatable and endearing that I kinda have a girl crush! Then you have Colton. MAAAAAN! These two and the way they go at it right from the start breaks my heart for her because of how much of a jerk he was. But she slowly breaks away at that ice around his heart. That by the book, no nonsense, work is everything life that Colton thought he enjoyed, was completely wrong. He is thrown for that loop and only Ashley was who he wanted to help him. The connection these two have at such a different level regardless of how things started between them, it was absolutely stunning. I adored every moment of this book.
If you haven’t read Farlow’s words, what are you waiting for? Rebel Desire takes you on a journey of self discovery, self love and standing up for what is right and for yourself. It is a beautiful mesh of enemies to lovers and honestly I devoured it in one sitting. It has amazing flow, character build and an amazing storyline. This one is a must read for 2020!

So many emotions!

I have to say, it was a delight watching Colton, the uptight Lawyer, fall in love with Ashley, the free spirited Wedding Photographer.

Colton and Ashley do not exactly get off on the right foot. So caught off guard by her free spirit, Colton makes a series of unfounded assumptions about her work ethic and character.

Ashley is such a positive and loving person. No matter how much Colton confuses her or bruises her heart, she continues to freely give her time and love in order to help him out.

Colton comes across as uptight and callous, and I honestly wasn't sure if I would like him. At all. He was rude to Ashley, and unable to process his own feelings. Caught somewhere between desire and resentment.

Maybe this is why I found his back story to be so fascinating. For someone raised in such a loving and open home to be so...rude and judgmental is baffling. Colton's parents are awesome. They are brilliant and funny and so warm and welcoming. Pretty much everything he isn't.

When a life-altering surprise in the form of a son he never knew he had lands on his doorstep, we get to see a different Colton. All that love and vulnerability buried inside him suddenly comes pouring out; and it is lovely to watch.

Cruz is the sweetest of children, and I wanted nothing more than to reach into the book and hold him tight.

Rebel Desire is a funny and sweet, slow-burn romance, and a perfect way to round out this series.

super cheesy, didn’t connect really well but it was cute.

A sweet and funny take on love at first sight with a dash of unrequited love thrown in at the start. Ashley is a determined and hopeful romantic. I can appreciate her willingness and commitment to believe that there is true love out there for everyone. If only the love of her life was as hopeful and willing. She definitely had her work cut out for her with Colton. While he started off as quite the jerk, ultimately he leaves you swooning with hearts in your eyes. Watching him open his heart to his newly discovered son and then eventually to Ashley makes it hard not to fall for him. Though I must say, it's the adorable and sweetly honest Cruz that steals the show and your heart.

Fans of LK will love this story as much as her other characters and books. Readers new to LK will fall in love with her style of writing and romance and want to discover more from her.

When Ashley sees Colton Banks, the best man at a client's wedding that she is photographing, she immediately knows that he is her soul mate. Colton, on the other hand thinks she is unprofessional and is really downright rude. When Ashley has a problem with another client, she turns to Colton for legal help, at which point, he turns her down, again and again. Every day Ashley shows up trying to break down his walls, but every day he cruelly rejects her. But all that changes when Colton's ex turns up with a 5 year old child that is clearly his and then disappears leaving Cruz behind. The little boy doesn't talk and is clearly very afraid and Colton has to figure out how to look after this child. When Ashley shows up at his office the next day, trying to win him over as usual, she never expects to find a child there, especially not Colton's, but she has a bond with him that makes Colton's insides thaw, just a little. Is this what will break down those defenses? Ashley will use every trick in the book to get Colton to see the real her and show him that they are destined to be together. Love this book and love that some of the secondary characters come from 'The Best of Me', 'The Best Laid Plans" and "Rebel Soul", which are other L.K.Farlow books, feels like a comfy blanket on a chilly day.

Great book that filled the need for a quick and easy summertime read. Enjoyed the characters, especially a cute little boy named, Cruz that stole my heart.
