✨ “What I do not think you understand, Kera, is that none of us could stay away from you even if we wanted to.”
~~~
I loved Kera so much! She’s brave, strong, caring, feisty and fiercely protective of her family and the people she loves. Even more, the magic coursing through her is very dangerous and powerful. So, to keep everyone safe, she’s one of the few who volunteered to join the Blood Rite tournament. She’s such an amazing woman!
And then, we have the other four members of her team - Tracer, Crux, Asp and Cole. Each one of those men is huge, gorgeous, dangerous, lethal and wields a different kind of offensive magic. They were so different and, yet, fit so perfectly together. Those four men were so awesome and I loved each one of them so much!
I loved everything that happened between Kera, Cole, Crux, Asp and Tracer. For a year, they’ve been training together and preparing for the tournament. But, even though she's attracted to all four of them, to protect them, Kera refuses to admit her feelings or choose any of the four. But what if she doesn’t have to choose?! I loved those five together so much and they were such a badass team. And the banters and the teasing were so much fun to read. I loved Tracer, Crux, Asp and Cole for being so patient and giving Kera the time to come to terms with her feelings. And when they finally gave in to their undeniable needs, the passion they shared was off-the-charts hot and I couldn’t get enough!
In addition, I absolutely loved this new world filled with magic, violent tournaments and deadly assassins. With everything happening, the suspense, the tension, the passion and the violence, I was glued to the pages till the very end.
Overall, Their Deadly Game is a short, action-packed and smoking-hot story!
I loved it and I’m super excited for the new series!
I tore through this fun paranormal/fantasy why choose novella yesterday, then immediately dm’d the author to make sure it was the beginning of a series, WHICH IT IS, so am now doubly excited about it.
Kera’s death magic is illegal everywhere except the annual magic competition. So, she’s joined up with a team of four magical men to compete in the Blood Rite tournament. However, this year, someone has been murdering participants with certain darker magics, so there is an extra opponent at the games. Kera and her teammates must win the tournament, come to terms with the feelings they ALL have for Kera, and keep themselves safe from the rogue killer.
This fantasy novella is perfect for fans of Sadie Moss and is free from Lexi Caine (link at her instagram). My only complaint was that it was short and I wanted more of this world, but that means I’m super excited for the world building that comes in the next ones
I really enjoyed this short novella. I feel like it was a decent intro into this series and the characters. This book was short but it was filled with action and spice. It kind of reminds me of hunger games only you have a team and the characters all have different powers.
