This one surprised and enthralled me from beginning to end. At first, I thought it was based on the Sarah Lawrence cult, but it turned into something really fascinating and validating to read. HOWEVER, there are many triggers in this book. Make sure you’re in a good, safe, headspace before reading.

This book was dark and at points difficult to read. But as I say that, I also liked it. But I encourage those interested in reading to check trigger warnings because this book isn’t going to be for everyone.

Not for the faint of heart. Everything you don’t want to be possible exists in this story, but it shines a light on how deeply rooted misogyny and sexism are in our culture. Unfortunately, looking at current events proves that while this is technically a work of fiction, there’s enough evil in the world to make it wholly believable.
