This was a nice book of scripture, prayers and reflections. For me, the reflections were more surface level and not very deep. However, this would be great for a new believer as a way to get them more in the word of God and help them to learn about the attributes of God. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to know more about God, the writing style is easy to follow and the verses and prayers are great.

Weekly reminders of the hope we have in our faith. Nothing special, but it is the frequent reminders that can keep us focused.

Great Devotional!

This was a great devotional. It’s easy to read and understand and I really enjoyed reading about the different names of God and the different ways He can and does minister to us. I have already ordered my own hard copy so I can read through this one again!

This devotional is wonderful for the days when hope can be hard to find. Broken down into 52 entries, each one is based on an aspect of God’s character. They can be read in order or out of order based on what you feel called to read.

I picked this book up to read during a time of uncertainty based on some medical issues I’ve been experiencing and it was great to go to the table of contents and choose entries based on my needs (Comforter, Healer, Refuge). Holley’s writing is very relateable. She relays personal stories along with stories and lessons from scripture in a way that is enjoyable to read but also packs a big punch in a few pages.

This is a great devotional to pick up during times when hope is needed but also during times when time is short because each devotional is only about 4-5 pages long.

I also love the presentation of the book. It’s a small size that would fit nicely in a purse and the cover is very pretty. This would make a great gift.

I recommend this book to anyone who needs a daily dose of hope.

I received this book from the publisher tor review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Hope Your Heart Needs: 52 Encouraging Reminders of How God Cares for You by Holley Gerth 5/5 ⭐️

Thank you to Revell for the free review copy. All opinions are my own.

I love reading Holley Gerth because she gets so personal and truly shares her heart in what she writes. This devotional was no different. She gives 52 different words for how God cares for you. I liked how each word had a verse and prayer. It was also so impactful because of how vulnerable she is in her writing.

There is a reminder on every page of who God is and how he cares for us. No matter the situation she is writing about, Gerth makes it so relatable. I stopped multiple times and thought I’ve been there, too. It’s wonderful to be reminded of where God is in all of those places.

This book is out now, and I think it’d be a great companion for a weekly word meditation or for something to read along with Bible time every day.
