If you’re looking for a YA enemies-to-friends-to-lovers feel-good romance that manages to deal with serious issues including parental abandonment and OCD while simultaneously making you laugh out loud with its clever banter, then this book is for you.

A very sweet (childhood friends to) enemies to lovers. I enjoyed this novel a lot more than I thought I would. A worthwhile low-stakes read.

This was so cute and made my heart so happy. It was a fluffy read but still handled a number of difficult topics with ease.

I definitely thought that the survival course was going to be more prominent in the story, so I was a bit taken aback by the pacing.

This was a quick read for me but it kept me engaged the entire time!

It’s definitely giving YA vibes so no spice just some wholesome kissing and fondling lol.

But IT WAS SO CUTE! The story is told from two points of view, Celine and Brad.

In their last year before they enter university, they are at each others necks throwing insults, side eyes and looks of disgust.

They have you wondering what the heck happened to make them hate each other so much.

The books follows their journey to prepare for university, finding love and breaking down mental health barriers.

It was such a sweet telling of a “coming of age” story of two characters whose history is so tightly intertwined that it’s impossible not to root for their success.

What would make this a 5 star for me would be more back story and detail of their childhood together. It was kinda glossed over and barely talked about. Also, while I enjoyed the ending it seemed a bit abrupt and I wish Celine and Brad had a little more time together to talk about the future.

Themes:

OCD
Parental Abandonment
Enemies to lovers
Bullying

this one was just a little too YA for my liking, and I honestly ended up skimming from like ~65% til the end.
