This was a nice book: it’s set in high school, which is different from the earlier Talia Hibbert books. The characters were insufferable in the beginning, as teenagers are, but as they came to forgive each other and as the story went along, I was interested in their journey to get the scholarship. The subplot about the father and Celine’s development regarding that front was absolutely chef’s kiss. Three cheers for older sisters!

Loved this! Was a great distraction and oh so cute! I really enjoyed that we got POVs from both Bradley and Celine. I especially liked reading Bradley’s thoughts.

Insanely cute, and each character was written with such care. I found Bradley’s OCD was handled so well as was the discussions about going to therapy. I also so appreciated that these characters were smart kids. Both main characters had some self realizations which were so wonderful to see. Also this premise was so cool, a camping trip/expedition to win a scholarship!

Just wonderful overall, would like to read more from Hibbert.

Funny, relatable characters and all the virtue signalling all over the place. I love books that have different characters than the boring vanilla (Toni Shiloh has some great ones for this for example), but I also don’t need diversity quotas thrown in my face at every turn for the sake of it and topics that people like to claim they are allies for, but that don’t hold a purpose in the story. That’s why this one was a lower score than I might have given otherwise.
The writing style was great and I loved the banter and quirky of it all… it just lost some steam for me by the third, fourth and fifth quota I read through. Plot was fine but it did lean more into character driven.

This is such a sweet high school romance. Two former best friends, turned enemies end up in an exclusive program fighting for a prestigious scholarship. But as they decide to stop being enemies, they realize they may want more than just friendship. I love how the main female character is a curvy girl and it wasn’t barely mentioned in the book, most romances with a non skinny female main character bring it up all the time and they are so self conscious of it. She has curves and is beautiful, no other discussion needed. The author also did a great job showing the male main character’s struggles with OCD and how he worked through that.
