A delightful story

I think I enjoyed the sequel more than the first book. It was a pleasure learning about August 1st parades and reading how my favorite characters have grown. I look forward to the next installment.

I LOVE this book. I didn't realize it was a series when I picked it up. It's so good. I can't wait to read the rest of them.

I adore this series. It is the definition of feel good. Sure there are bad people and bad things, but somethings the bad people reform. Justice wins in the end.

From the craft standpoint, I love that there are so many characters and that POV shifts from one to the next. It gives the novel the feel of the small town it centers around.

In this installment, I particularly enjoyed Amari's spirit quest.

Another positive story involving black people with some nice drama of course. I like the narrator from first book more.

I just love the Henry Adams community. A full review will be featured on my Series Sunday blog meme.

Read like a screenplay for a Hallmark movie and I don’t watch Hallmark. Absolutely too many characters to keep up with...seemingly 30. Enjoyable at times but rather frothy.
