The characters all don't feel like real people and have like 1 personality trait and a job.
The book focuses on the plot a lot and is making a good job at making you wonder who the killer is. But as soon as they get slightly revealed, all of the tension drops and it gets more and more ridiculous. Everything seems way to convenient for the killer and the problem gets resolved way to fast
A very frustrating and weird book

Extinction by Douglas Preston is a story of a de-extinction resort. When two guests disappear mysteriously, law enforcement methodically unravels an evil plot. There is plenty of action, and there are many surprising story twists. The characters are well-drawn. The book is highly recommended for readers of action mysteries.
