I haven't read this since my freshman year of college but I am not realizing that this was just the first book that really held all my catnip and I didn't know it yet! (Ahhhh my sweet summer child...)
I love Eve so much from page one. She is my favorite kind of heroine - soft, and warm, and kind but with a backbone of steel. She is wildly strong in so many ways! And she lives my dream life - just hanging out in the country adopting all the stray humans and animals. But I can't sleep on this hero - Aidan is so emotionally constipated and such a grump but also just such a sweetie! He literally only tries to do what is right and tries to support Eve in his own way. I am so glad I reread this!
