The initial chapters featuring Aurora and Noah are exceptionally compelling. The realistic portrayal of their developing relationship was a captivating element of the first book.

I was bored. The book was too long for me to care and try to push through.

-He called her “shortcake” 216 times.. it’s not even a good pet name.
- Noah cuts her off left and right. “Noah, I-“ was written way too much
-nothing happens with her mom?
-nothing happens with his dad?
-when her brother finds out??? That entire scene was ridiculous.
-her friend didn’t keep her personal secret?
-the “friends” say to break it off with her and then they feel bad, tell her, and they’re still good?
-She couldn’t handle any dirty talk. Any.
Noah: *says something dirty*
Aurora: “Noah!”
Noah: “you love it”
Ugh.

I really enjoyed this, I got into it and didn't want to stop. I love when a girl can make the "player" hers and only hers. I also liked that the main female character was "curvy", I feel like there's not many stories where they are. I enjoyed that the couples from the other stories were in this one and that they are all just a big group of friends. I liked the whole book but the only thing I wish there would've been more of was details and a little more drama with the ex-boyfriend of the main character.

3.5-4 stars. My first read from this author. I liked the pacing and the characters (for the most part). I just wished the theme was done a little differently.

Aurora Hart was the sun that I gravitated to. Ever since she'd arrived in Lakeshore, I'd barely looked twice at another girl. Because all I saw was her.
4.5 stars!
Ahh, Noah Holden. What can I say about Lakeshore's most charming and quietly tortured hockey star? Both Noah and Aurora were hiding behind a façade, putting on a front to keep people from questioning their carefully put-together persona. Even though they were opposites in nearly every way, neither could deny the chemistry and tension building between them as they slowly crept past each other's walls. I absolutely loved watching as Aurora gained confidence in herself as her past just left me heartbroken, while Noah finally allowed himself true happiness. Despite everyone telling them to walk away, they kept getting drawn back to each other. The secondary characters often stole the scenes, and I cannot wait for more books in this series

I am truly the biggest sucker for the brother’s best friend trope & oh my… this one did not disappoint
