This is the third Cara Hunter novel, starring DI Adam Fawley of the Thames Valley Police, Oxford. All three novels have been tightly plotted and well researched, with twists and turns you don’t see coming. Realistic, plausible, and very highly recommended.

I liked this book better than the others in the series, even though it was so very horrific what happened.... I love all the characters that I'm getting to know better with each book and their own journey. The mystery in this one was done very well! Looking forward to the next book.

This is a great series. I love how there are no chapters, just interlinked parts, and how the book is laid out. The series is also up to date with the social media aspects of much of our lives now. The characters were interesting although I didn’t much like the father and the storyline involving Fawley I found a bit weak this time around.

3.5 stars. I enjoyed it but it definitely felt too dragged out in some parts.

Really enjoyable quick read - exactly the right kind of novel I needed after the heavy-going Madame Solario.

I had a really hard time getting into this one compared to the last two books. I just couldn’t hang on to the subplots enough for it to be a quick read, but I did enjoy the last 50-100 pages enough to move on to the fourth book.
