Even though I haven't read the first two books in the DI Adam Fawley series, it was easy to get into this story. The book felt a bit slow at times, but the last part made up for it. I was 'glad' for the mention of what Matty did in his final moments, but God, was this a sad and needless event. I just genuinely felt sorry for a lot of people involved.
