This was a wonderful coming-of-age story about an eleven year old boy named Jack, coming to grips with his growing family, impending move, and the unfairness of life, both for himself and in the lives of his friends. There's something to be said for quiet stories that try to do something simple and absolutely nail it. I'm glad to see this is the first of a series. I can't wait for Book 2.
