When Seneca said "cease to hope and you will cease to fear," I think he was talking about my finals.

I read this a while ago now, BUT I never made a review about it for multiple reasons. However, I would just like to put into writing that I really enjoyed this book and there were many instances where the book struck a particul cord with me.
First of all, although this was most definitely a lengthy read I'm really happy that I did it anyways. It opened up another genre to explore and I think that's really cool!
Although frankly I won't be able to pinpoint particular quotes that I really liked because I no longer have my original book I still found myself just sitting with it a few different instances because the writing was really great. It was def. a bit difficult to follow at times, but I'm glad I was able to take my time with it!
I read this knowing that I was barreling into a break up that most definitely SUCKED, and I think that this book–and it's perspective–helped me let go in a way that allowed myself to healthily grieve. This is a book that I absolutely plan to reread!! Okay that's all!

This is one of those books I'm constantly working my way through. It's full of some really great insights.

Probably the most valuable ancient stoic philosophy book I have read. Seneca’s tone felt the most approachable to me so far, and the size of the individual letters are enough that he can expand on an idea well still being easily digestible.

The book is quite interesting since Seneca explores various ideas about life and the world; however, it could not sustain my attention since it is a collection of numerous letters. The letters were written to be read one at a time, not all at once. Although I read a few letters at a time, I concluded that I probably wouldn't finish it at such an ever-so-decreasing pace.
