I will be honest, the only reason I read this book is because I recieved it for free for my kindle. I will not be reading any more of the books in this series and the following statement will be why.
This book was extremely lackluster. The storyline was unoriginal and uninspired, drawing solely upon the many popular books regarding fae and the fae world. You are literally dropped into a story halfway through, missing 90% of the story and only getting hints at what happened before scattered throughout the text. Yes I realize that this would probably be solved by reading the previous series, however it was marketed as a standalone so this is still unacceptable. You are given no solid base or standpoint of why any of it is happening or what the main characters motive is. Besides that the writing itself is honestly just really bad. Grammer alongside so many other important writing tools are thrown out the window.
The only thing that I can even remotely be positive about is the consistency of the characters. That is not to say I think any or all of the characters are great. But oftentimes 18+ books have their heroine be so incredibly inconsistent in their desires and motives that it was refreshing to see an mc at least stay consistent throughout the book.

"Fae Lost" is a thrilling and spicy fae reverse harem with a fast-paced plot. The FMC is on a quest to uncover the truth behind her father's assassination and find her missing lovers. The story is filled with magic, a found family, and betrayal, making it an exciting read. Beth is caught between two hot Fae who want her, and there might be a third in the mix. I can't wait to see where the story takes us and how she escapes her uncle's cunning plans. I received an advanced copy from the author, and my review is voluntary.

First of all I want to say that I finished this book in one day so I enjoyed it.
The storyline felt fresh and original.
But some things just bugged me that made me give less stars. Maybe it's because I'm more used to slow burns but there would sometimes be these intense emotions and thoughts about something and the next page it would suddenly be the opposite with little convincing..
And she was sometimes surprised or says she was kot expecting something when her thoughts were only adding up to the same conclusion... I could not get passed that. Otherwise I'm sure it would've been at least 4 stars for me. But I do certainly recommend reading it 🤗 I might just be to fussy 🙈

This book had me hooked from the very first page! I finished it in one sitting and cannot wait for Fae Torn to come out.
First, my book ratings rely heavily on how the book made me feel. Fae Lost made me feel excited and entranced. Beth is someone I see as a relatable mfc and I found myself really loving her inner thoughts and conflict. The narration of the book sounded like she was your bff just telling you this story and I really prefer these types of narrations over more formal ones.
The book moved at a pretty quick pace, but it was done in a nice way as I did not feel I was missing any necessary information or wanting more details than the author gave. I think it’s great to have fantasy books that are so detailed you’re still in the world building stage at page 200, but I really love these faster paced books that get straight to the point.
I am excited to see how the characters develop in the coming story - I think what we got to see of them in Fae Lost will make me miss their company until the next book comes out, though I do feel like I know them fairly well. Ella did a great job with the characters, romance, and plot. I felt it was a really balanced mix of spice and story (for my personal tastes).
I will be thinking about this book until the next one is released!
