This second book in the series was a fantastic follow-up and offered a deeper look into each character, showing how much they continues to grow and struggle in meaningful ways.
One of the highlights of this book for me was getting to know Kerris even more. Her journey is filled with personal battles—there are moments where she’s questioning her choices, her worth, and what it means to put herself first. Watching her evolve throughout the story as she slowly starts to choose herself and prioritize her own well-being was both empowering and emotional. Kerris’s growth is handled so realistically; it doesn’t feel rushed, and there’s a rawness in the way she faces her internal conflicts.
What made the story even more compelling was seeing how the people around Kerris are woven into her journey. The relationships in her life—whether they’re romantic, familial, or friendships—add so much depth to her development. It’s clear that Kerris is surrounded by complex people who love her, but also challenge her in ways that make her question who she really is and what she wants for her future. This dynamic really enhances the emotional weight of the story.
The pacing of the book is solid, and while there are moments of tension and conflict, they all feel earned. The slow burn of Kerris’s internal struggle—particularly as she tries to figure out where her heart lies—kept me hooked. And when she finally decides to take control of her life, it’s such a powerful and satisfying moment.
And while I'm placing most of my rescue on Kerris, the other characters also gain much more depth and I enjoyed all of them.
Loving You Always is a beautiful, heartfelt continuation of Walsh, Kerris, and Cams' stories, with plenty of emotional depth, growth, and the kind of personal struggle that really makes you root for them all. Highly recommend it for fans of the series!
