This book did an amazing job of covered every corner of the continent of Ixalan and much of the rest of the plane. It’s an amazing foundation that allows you to understand the storylines that are then explained, even if you didn’t know anything about which MTG sets have been released and in what order. Lastly, the concept art at the back is beautiful, and the thought processes included along with what was chosen as the final project adds something to the lore that you wouldn’t get without the “behind the scenes” aspect.
