Golden never fails to impress me and once again I found myself in his story, like actually immersed in it because reading a book by him is like going to the movies. This story is just another testament to his immense talent, great story telling and amazing descriptive ability.
I loved this sequel to The Secret Life and the way this story interlaces with the Journeyman series, not to mention how well the author handled the whole thing. I really liked the growth and evolution of the characters and their acceptance of new realities as well as the developments and new POV of the war against the Noctis.

I’ve been not so patiently wait for this book and it was really good. Czermak has such a way with words and a very vivid description to detail. Reading this story felt like a movie was playing out before my very eyes. I loved seeing the maturation of the characters. The secondary story was well written and I loved how it all came together with the main plot. Seeing glimpses of The Journeymen always makes my day. Plus, my favorite demon, Dajjal makes an appearance as well. I must say the last few chapters had me at the edge of my seat and I was so ready to throw my kindle when I finished! I need the next book ASAP!!!! Czermak’s writing and storytelling keeps on getting better and he is my new King of Paranormal. Hands. Down.
