Seemed promising but then went nowhere. I didn’t see the attraction between the two main characters. Alison was trying to be someone she’s not (not trying to gatekeep the outdoors but being in that field myself, it was super cringey bc it’s actually dangerous to do something like her trip on a whim) and Adam was taking the backseat to his own life not being decisive. And then Sam was somehow rooting for them all along even though his relationships with the MCs were fracturing. Everything just seemed like a reach. Neat learning about BRCA because I knew nothing.

I picked up this book because of the blurb from Abby Jimenez  and I am so thankful I did. I loved how cozy this story was, all the while dealing in deep emotions and existential discovery.

It is so lovely to have a story that celebrates a quiet life. This book is for anyone who dreads having to provide a ‘fun fact’ about themselves or sheepishly (but secretly gleefully) describes their weekends where they didn’t leave their house.
