I've read Things Have Gotten Worse Since We Last Spoke before, and if you did not enjoy the twisted choices, coercion, and supreme body horror in that book... do not read this one. We have those same themes, as well as secrets, relationships, children in danger, obsession, devotion, and the other.
All of these stories have a creepy, dream-like quality to them and I think any of them could also be a greatly disturbing Black Mirror episode. It's a great read if you want to be really disturbed in a variety of ways.
This is a great author and I plan to read more by him, but in... small, far-spaced bites.
Graphic: Body horror, Death, and Abandonment
