This book is a book full of short stories that will have you on your toes. Hard to get through because the word “emotional” wouldn’t justify it enough. The stories were relatable and very well written. And when the stories come together? - Death by a Thousand Cuts.

Picked this up in the Vancouver airport and read it on my flight home to NC. An enjoyable collection of short stories, from the point of view of various fictionalized young South Asian women living in Canada. The stories cover relatable every day topics, with a slightly surrealist edge.

the way shashi bhat can balance being darkily comedic while simultaneously knowing when to be serious is a work of art. (sorry for this long ass sentence)
