Hidden magic has quite the interesting concept and beginning but a very slow start. It is a why choose romance so the main character does have multiple partners. I am conflicted on the writing here, there were times when the author's writing was slow and didn't seem to progress the story much; but other times when it seemed to rush making parts of the story feel disorienting at times with how the timeline flowed. Which is why I rated it a 3 because despite the slightly disorienting timeline I felt the character development was amazing, as was the concept and story idea.

Your typical FMC. Silver hair. Difficult past. Mom is crazy but not crazy. A shady uncle about whom we know nothing.
There is no chemistry between the characters. She is just a novice in learning magic, yet she is capable of erasing the memories of her friends. She doesn't think for even a moment before doing it.
The MMCs are just without character. The reverse harem is so ambiguous. The four boys are okay with courting the same girl. Cameron is just there... without purpose. Silas is the typical dark character, Deghan is the beast, and Sydney is the clever one.
The teacher... what teacher?! Is this really a school? The Headmaster giving private lessons??? And like, what is Abigael's role? Why does she teach??? The explanation of magic is super confusing. So confusing..
I feel like I'm reading a fanfiction from a Wattpad story.

Honestly I’m struggling with the whole humans and supernaturals at the same school. I just feel like it takes away from the excitement of unlocking her powers. She can’t share it with half her friends… hate that. Also her friends are lowkey a little annoying.

DNF at 26% - It's not bad just not in the mood for it and for some reason the extreme detail on all the directions and where each classroom was filled up most of the beginning which seemed quite unnecessary. Putting down for now.

This was the first reverse harem book that I have read, but, if it means anything, I have watched quite a lot of reverse harem anime (lol) so I am somewhat going to judge it based on that.
For one, it was very hard at times to tell one dude apart from the next. Their eye color differences were the main thing used to do that. So at times I was like "Which one is this one-- Oh, the green eyed one. Right." And even then, they were barely fleshed out at all.
For another, it was insta-love for every single one of them. I understand insta-attraction or insta-infatuation, but it wasn't either of those. No, she knew she loved each of them, and vice versa, without hardly any time to get to know each other.
The hair color thing was brought up, but never really explained. I guess it was supposed to mark her as a witch? I don't know.
And then, the pacing. Much of the book was spent just idling or partying. When it came to the big bad of the book, it was handled with so much ease, as was another big problem. But then there will still be other problems, of course, or else they can't continue the books. But it's okay. She'll be able to have all of these dudes who are in love with a girl they barely know without worry, and that's the main idea.
Are all RH books like this???
(ETA: I forgot to mention that I dislike the fact she seemingly learned how to use magic/spells off-camera. Isn't that something important that should be seen?
Also, the book needed a little more editing. There were missing words, and also words were used in a way I don't think they were meant to be. Like someone "resolving" into his chair. Resolve also means settle, but not in that way. Sorry!)

I want more from this book. The premise was interesting, but the execution is lacking a little. It’s almost like someone edited it for length, but took out the important parts instead of the fluff.
There’s no explanation/storyline as to how Willow learns her magic…she finds out she’s a witch, and then suddenly she knows how to do magic.
The relationship with the guys…

Wow oh wow I didn’t expect anything like this when I was diving head first into this book. Supernaturals and humans going to the same school but the humans don’t know about supernaturals!!! I need more of Silas I need so much more of Sydney and Cameron poo sweat boy what did. He get himself into and deghan he is just so damn charming!

Really Enjoyed
I really enjoyed this book. Willow is unaware of her history but when she starts college, she starts finding things out. It’s hard to write this review without spoilers so I’m just going to say that this is a great read
