The Reunion is a lighthearted romance novel about two former teen actors who meet again 20 years later for a reunion of their hit tv show. Liv and Ransom were once best friends in real life, and on-screen lovers on their show, but have drifted apart since after bad decisions and miscommunication. And now 20 years later they discover just what they've been missing out on in both friendship and in love.

This book is easy to read, fairly quick and compelling, and nothing too tense or tragic happens. A low-stakes romance. The writing is decent, the romance good, and the narrator of the audiobook did a good job. I enjoyed the fictional peek into former teen stars' worlds and what it's like to live in the spotlight. I admit, as soon as I finished this book, like literal hours later, it all vanished from my mind like I had forgotten I had even spent nine and a half hours with this book. So it's definitely not one that sticks with you, but I don't believe all books should anyway. I'll be happy to pick up another book from this author in the future when I'm craving a lighthearted romance.

A grown-up star of a teen TV drama reunites with the one who got away when the show films a reunion. This was OK, the writing was good but Liv was the only character who was remotely fleshed out. The stakes weren’t ever that high and the conflict was meh.

Too insta-love - after barely speaking for 14 years I found it too hard to believe they'd instantly fall for each other.

I love a good celebrity romance book, and I've been working on reading some of the Book of the Month books that I have sitting around, and this one seemed like it was going to be a good time. In this book, we have a second chance romance between costars reuniting to film a finale to the show they grew up on. It was an okay book. But, it didn't live up to my expectations because I was looking for a light, fun book centered around mixed media. This one left me wanting more from this world, and that might be because it felt like it took me forever to read it, and I didn't get the payoff for it. But, overall, it wasn't a bad book. But it just might not be for me.

I thought it was a fun, light read about two people getting a second chance at love! I think a lot of their issues from the beginning could have been solved by communicating, but that always seems to be the case lol. I loved Ransom and his arc, but I wanted more from Liv. Their banter was fun, though, and they had strong chemistry.

I really enjoyed this book as a simple, quick read. I found Liv and Ransom typical love interests for a Celebrity Romance Novel, but I thought it was incredibly sweet, and I love a childhood friends/crushes to lovers situation.

The gossip media between the chapters was such a fun way to see the outside perspectives on what was happening since we were only getting Liv's perspective. I actually wish this was Duel-POV because I think it would have benefitted from some of Ransom's thoughts and interactions since we only heard about them second-hand.

I also wish we would have gotten more on Sasha-Kate, especially since we got these small moments of her emotions, but she could have been fleshed out more.

Lastly, Liv's dad's death was so shocking to me, it pulled me out of the book;
I cannot believe he died like Princess Di...

Altogether an easy read that I would recommend to people looking for fun, especially those looking for closed doors!
