This is my second time listening to this audiobook, which I enjoyed both times. As far as a practical guide to feeling in more control of your life, this is one of the best ones. Kendra does a great job of not prescribing exactly how things should be done, but rather how to find out what works best for you. Even though she shares often exactly how she does something, she challenges you to focus only on what matters to you. She ties in the theories in books like Essentialism (Greg McKeown) with how to apply your version of essentialist thinking to your life. If you don't want to make your bed, but you do want to prioritize having the perfect cup of coffee in the morning-Kendra gives you the permission and guidance to do that, whatever it may look like for you. If you enjoy this book, I highly recommend listening to Kendra's podcast (The Lazy Genius). If the cooking and kitchen parts resonate with you, she also has a book for that (The Lazy Genius Kitchen). The only reason I don't rate this 5 stars is that much of the book does have anecdotal stories and advice for specifically mothers-this sometimes feels just less applicable to me. This isn't sponsored or anything, I'm just a huge fan of Kendra Adachi.
