It's so good. It's just so good. Even though I already knew the story because I've watched the movie several times, there was SO much more information in the book, more science, more events, and even some key differences that made it better (although the movie is still very good). I had no idea how much I like this technical style sci-fi until I read Project Hail Mary over the summer, and now I hope Andy Weir writes a LOT more books.

I'm glad I listened to...pretty much everybody's reviews, when they said that this book was funny and amazing. Also, Reddit r/books and r/audiobooks came through again in recommending this as one of the best audiobooks ever. I totally agree!
A fantastic audiobook and a fun book to read all around, the humor, heart and wit that oozes from this book will make it a quick read that leaves you satisfied.

Such a fun story! Critical thinking and the elements! Great sci-fi! Warning though.... so much swearing! Like so very much!

This book has such a strong narrative voice. I know exactly who Mark Whatney is. Sometimes he's problematic, but he's a likeable guy who knows too much science. Honestly I shouldn't have been crying as hard as I was at the end, which was pretty abrupt.

Very good. Technical, but very good read.
Mark Wattney is accidentally left on Mars after he is believed to be dead.
The book is set up as log entries from Mark, and a few from personnel on Earth.
Much of the book is how Mark endeavors to survive and hoping to be rescued. It's detailed on making drinking water, food, oxygen and finding a way to communicate with Earth! Mark's smart ass personality shows through in his log entries. Look boobies ( . )( . ) Yes, he wrote that.
It was a good re-read.

Super amazing. It's one of those books where you miss the characters once you're finished.

Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. I will forever read ANYTHING Andy Weir puts out. HOW IS HE SO GOOD. Whenever I have the opportunity I’m recommending one of his books. He is absolutely hilarious. His story telling is unmatched. He has deep, sweet, heart shattering moments and then breaks the tension with laughter. He’s soooo good and always portrays the good in humans. It’s so refreshing. I had seen the movie first (again, I hadn’t realized there was a book) and even though I loved the movie the book still remained incredible. I just can’t get enough of him. I have heard incredible things about the audiobooks and will be going back to reread these as audio just for an additional experience.
I’m a huge fan! If you follow anything I write- know that this is my recommendation to all readers PG13 and up!
