This book is fucking hilarious at times and extremely sad at others, but most of all very easy to consume. Loved Will Wheaton as a narrator. 

Perfect for teenage boys:

The audiobook read by Wil Wheaton is fantastic, he is so evocative and involved in his reading. His reading legitimately adds to the experience of this book.

M'ha agradat, però ha sigut massa detallat en algunes parts. Entenc que en Mark és un científic i que sap moltes coses però el seu coneixement sense haver de consultar res era un pèl massa. Els personatges en general són bastant plans i no canvien gaire al llarg de la novel·la. A part d'en Watney, els personatges semblen més aviat caricatures amb un tret distintiu que els diferencia de la resta. Tanmateix, la història té molt bon ritme i el realisme afegeix un munt a la tensió de la trama. El Mark és un personatge molt afable i carismàtic, exceptuant alguns comentaris sobre dones que es nota que han estat escrits per un home.

I am not a big science person, and space terrifies me, but I could read this book and understand it just fine. When I got scared, it wasn't because of space but because of the events of the book.

The Martian SUCKS. YOU. IN. I couldn't put it down. I read it in class and got yelled at for reading it. I didn't care, I wanted to finish my chapter.

I can't put in words how much I love this book. The cussing is only a small part of that lol.

re-read Apr 2022. still just as good as before. I also saved some lines from the book that I felt were thesis statements so they are below:
