Książka była dla mnie nudna i to strasznie. Nie cierpię stylu pisania prezentowanego przez Sienkiewicza, którego nie uratowała nawet stylizacja na język wyjęty z baroku. Książka ciągnęła się strasznie i nie zaciekawiła mnie ani przez moment. Jedyny pozytyw z tego wszystkiego to to, że jest chyba mimo wszystko najlepiej napisaną książką Sienkiewicza, lecz mimo to jest bardzo bardzo zła (w mojej opinii)

one of the worst books that i've ever read, one day i'll point out every issue i have with this book, but for now i'll say that sienkiewicz couldn't write multidimensional characters for SHIT and his world building sucked, also he reused the same plot points and character archetypes for every book that he wrote

czemu to naprawdę mi się podobało i stwierdzam, że to pierwsza książka Sienkiewicza, której nie znienawidziłam? Portret psychologiczny i przemiana Kmicica... w końcu (w pewnym stopniu) zrozumiałam jego fenomen.
Jędruś, jam ran twoich niegodna całować.
