Having read a few of the more recent books of the series it was nice to go back to the start. I think the side characters have a bit more depth in the later books, but this serves as a very good introduction to the main character. Decent plot lines which all come together in the end. As always with this series, an easy enjoyable read. 

It’s interesting going right back to the start of the series. I was worried the book might feel dated but it didn’t.
It really kept my hooked until the end and I didn’t guess who the villain was. 

I like that there are multiple plot threads and different antagonists. This felt unique and resulted in a really tense ending that kept my on my toes.
