This book was really good. I like the way that the author left some cliff-hangers at the end.
My favourite character was Itch Because he was extremely BRAVE.

I loved this idea of an 'element hunter' but I do expected this as a more fantasy focused book or even a sci fi one because of the marketing and ofcourse,.,., The cover. Other than that I love the plot of it, all the different consequences and problems that arises when you collect elements from the periodic table, Itch is a very unique and interesting character overall and would like to know more of his adventures of collecting elements, such a nich interest and hobby to have

Background:
I was gifted this book for my 16th birthday. It really reignited my love for reading and made me realise there where more books then just "Diary of a whimpy Kid" and "Captain Underpants".
After I finished this book I went on to ready so many more adventures. Thank you mum for an amazing present I still hold close to my heart years later.
Book:
This book at the time of reading it was mind-blowing. It made me want to become an element collector and go on my own adventures. The story was good, and the pacing was also good for a 16-year-old. Would highly recommend this to any teen who shows interest in science.

Thrills. Danger. And world domination. Itch is as action-packed and suspenseful as a middle-grade novel can get!
Fourteen-year-old Itchingham Lofte, nicknamed Itch, has an unusual passion: collecting specimens of every element in the periodic table. So what if that means he's had a few ... mishaps? But when he gets his hands on a suspiciously warm rock made of a new, previously unknown element, things really begin to explode. Soon, a malevolent teacher, an evil-doing corporation, and a top-secret government agency are all after Itch. Can his science know-how keep him one step ahead of everyone...and help him stay alive?
Amusing and exciting at the same time. It's a children's book and reads like one but the information about the elements, experiments and the sheer adventure make it an enjoyable read for anyone. I'll definitely read the next in the series.

Don't think you need to be pulled in by the author's celebrity status. "Itch" is a great read and I'm very much looking forward to the sequel. Good characters, a decent plot, well paced and it even crams science into the reader while they enjoy the story.

Interesting book and premise: a teenage boy who loves to collect the elements and who gets in over his head when he comes upon a rock with mysterious properties. Itch was a good MC. At times he was incredibly brave, and at others, he acts like a kid and puts himself ahead of what should be done. His sister Chloe and his cousin Jack are mixed up with trying to keep the rock out of the "wrong hands." The ending is suspenseful, and it wrapped up nicely while it left a few loose threads dangling so that I just might read the next book in the series.
