A fun read before we move to Alabama. Laughed out loud in parts. A fast, enjoyable read.

I read a funny article by this author about turkeys and Thanksgiving in Eating Well and this book was not funny. I was disappointed. Warning a whole essay in this comedy book is devoted to the trial of the murder and mutilation of a pregnant woman. Also, spending 1800 dollars on a new trench coat because of a mix up with a 700 dollar trench coat didn't fit quite right...

I have no idea how this ended up on my to-read list. It is far from what I usually read. However, it came in from the library, I was on vacation, so I read it. It was funny, light and not very memorable.

These short stories by Ellis are hilarious for anyone who grew up in the South or has a Southern grandma. I especially love Helen’s way of saying something mean in a not-so-nice-way, such as “weathered” instead of “she looks like a cake left out in the rain.” This is a quick, fun read that will make you laugh.

This was fine. Ultimately forgettable but definitely had some laughable moments.

A funny series of essays that really made me wonder about the lives of other people...! Great for a short read on the weekend.
