Wow! What a highly emotional, heartbreakingly beautiful story!! Asher and Grace truly have a love worth fighting for.

Asher returns home early from prison with a lot of anger and demons that he has no idea how to deal with. He needs a purpose and direction for his life again. Of course he has never stopped loving Grace, but he doesn't think he can give her the life she deserves, the life they had planned before his sentence. Grace has changed too. She was assaulted and never let herself mentally heal from it. Through the years of Asher's imprisonment, Grace held on to their love. Both of their families went through and changed so much in the time Asher was in jail.

I love how much Asher's brother’s help him adjust. And gram! Everyone needs one of her! Grace is such an amazing woman! She's so strong, amazingly loyal, and one of the most loving and selfless people of all time. Asher is an amazing man as well. He's more than his anger. He's also loyal, strong, protective, and so loving. These two definitely had a lot to overcome but when they did, gosh it was beautiful.

This novel had all the conflict I was missing from the first book! I enjoyed seeing the big differences between Asher and Grace compared to when they were younger. Their lives were forever impacted by what happened at the end of the first book, and I enjoyed their growth towards each other again!

Hmm. Found myself skimming a few sections because it was pretty predictable and bit boring? I love family series but this was way too dramatic. Still going to attempted Evan’s story. Not terrible, good steam, but I’ve read a lot better.

I’m going to be honest, after all the hype on booktok I wanted to love this book and series. I didn’t love it, I didn’t hate it. I liked it and I finished it but it just didn’t hit home for me.
I felt like the second book could have been shorter and making it one book.
I really wanted to enjoy it because I love small town romances, especially about different siblings.
It was still a good read, just not something I rate highly enough to continue.

Poor Grace and Asher. This second part of the story was just so heartbreaking with lots of love mixed in. The power of Grace's love for Asher was just amazing. And this book had me laughing so dang much out loud. I love Gram. So dang wise and funny, gently guiding her cubs. The struggle Grace and Asher went through with him transitioning to the real world and him fighting his demons while Grace struggles with her own too was tough. I have to say I am so intrigued to find out more about the rest of the Bailey Boys. They suck you into their pranks, love and world like no other family has. I hadn't realized that this book was kind of a spin off from the Miles family, I wish I had realized that and read their books first too so I didn't see how their lives had all turned out. Thoroughly enjoyed this book.
