The decision making and experiences of the characters are not realistic. How they act and what they do to archive their goals is at some point just weird. The book is trying to criticize the general expectations of women to be pretty and the advantages that come with beauty. 
Although, for me it was actually hard to read because I got the feeling that this book underlines how important it is to be pretty and that this was the only way to archive your goals.
Also, the story didn't really catch me. There was a part towards the end where I enjoyed it and was curious what was about to happen next but for the most part I wasn't really interested in the story.
