Firstly a few disclaimers - I don't read poetry very often, but have been known to appreciate a spoken word video on Youtube - also I was sent this book by the author in return for an honest review

'Love is Where The Heart Is' is a collection of poems all focused around the theme of love, taking the reader through a journey of a relationship from first meeting to happily ever after loved up bliss! Now the journey to love, as many of us know, does not always run smoothly and one of the poems that spoke to me most in this collection was 'Cheated'... What that says about my love life is a little depressing. I was also quite partial to 'Long Distance' a poem that talked about a couple in a long distance relationship, and the pain associated with leaving the one you love. Are you noticing a theme of tragedy in the poems I liked?

Not every poem resonated with me, but in a collection of 38 poems I'm sure that is normal. Especially on a topic as diverse, confusing and personal as love! Overall I thought this was a good collection of poems, that provided a light and fun diversion from an otherwise boring Saturday morning. Therefore I have given it 4 stars.
