I really wanted to enjoy this book, I really did, but I just couldn't get into it. I skimmed a lot of it. I just could not connect with the heroine. I liked the idea of her being a single mom, but that was it. The sex was bleh and the conflict/problem in the book might as well have been non-existent. The story dragged a lot. I would have liked for it to have begun with Finch's pov of seeing Claudia for the first time. It was just too insta-lovey for me and I would have liked for them to form a bond in some way and not it just being attraction and falling in love in a day.

This series is really fun, and I find the overarching storyline very interesting. This one has one trope I love, and another I could do without. I like the coupling for the most part. These Phaeton warriors have wormed their way into my heart.
