Found at the library's used book store just before the Corona Staycation and couldn't resist. Such a fun, light, quick read for this time. Now I'm just wishing I'd picked up the sequels!

Beautiful. And kind of terrifying.

Okay, the first G&S book is really something, and it ends PERFECTLY. To have sequels is just wrong, but I own them for the beautiful art. Curse you, Nick Bantock.

My very thoughtful friend gave me this book as a gift and it was such an absolute delight! It was original, quirky, and intriguing. When I turned the page and found that I would be pulling out an actual letter to read I nearly lost it with excitement. The illustrations throughout the book are fascinating and I love the life that Sabine leads. I finished the book and promptly put a hold on the following four books from the library!

This was a magical, unique read. And now I must get my hands on the others in this series...

This is so unique! I loved being able to open the letters and look at the artwork. Requesting the next two books from the library ASAP.

2016: The surreal art only emphasizes the artistic struggles contained within. Sometimes, when creativity is stunted, that's when an artist's brain gets the most creative, but in the darkest or most devastating ways possible.
