This was a super fun read! There are some interactions between the two main characters, that made me want to scream at one of them. I gave the 3.75 rating because there are some parts that make you cringe a bit. But it was super cute, spicy romance and just very enjoyable!

Let’s start by saying that this book needed to be called To LOVE Adam Connor because that’s exactly what I did. I FELL for this man!! He’s a single parent to his absolutely ADORABLE son, Aiden, as well as being sweet, protective, sexy, patient, dignified and just perfection!
I loved Lucy in To Love Jason Thorn and my god, this girl’s story did not disappoint! She had me dying with laughter but also crying with how much I related to her. Yes, it was repetitive in how she felt, but that’s exactly how it feels like in reality and it’s hard to overcome that feeling. I’m so glad we saw a lot more of her friendship with Olive, and I loved her interactions with Jason too! As for her and Adam - wow!! Their banter back and forth from start to finish was hilarious, their lust and love for each other was disgustingly perfect and put Aiden into the mix, you have the CUTEST family ever! 😍
The spice is great in this book, but I LIVED for the sexual tension and flirtatious interactions whilst still trying to maintain the hate with each other. The little games they played with one another had me kicking my legs in the air and grinning like the Cheshire Cat!
I loved the plot throughout as well as all the amazing tropes! I found it more intriguing and exciting then TLJT especially with it having a couple of “oh my god” moments. As much as I liked Olive and Jason, they just don’t compare to Lucy and Adam! 😍 that ending was perfect for Lucy’s story (and yes, I may have cried some happy tears about it)!

Adam Connor is such a DILF. I wish we had seen him grovelling because this man had a way with his words. I also think, he would have starred in a dark romance and it would have still worked. Damn this man! Aiden was such an amazing kiddo but he went through way too much. Now onto Lucy. Lucy was amazing. She was ridiculous and funny. I mean, she was a stalker and it all worked out in the end, but her monologues and inappropriate conversations were so good. I loved her. I loved her so much. I also loved the cameos by Jason and Olive. Jason was such a good sport going along with everything. And I want what Olive and Lucy have.

I skipped over the warning signs in the opening of the story where stalking is normalised/made light of, persevering as I enjoyed the first book in this series. The red flags continued to pile up with the way sexual harassment and assault were skimmed over and the blatant over sharing of the protagonist whose fascination with all things sex may have been a characteristic added to promote female empowerment and sex positivity -which I am all for -but instead it became the character’s only personality trait. Adam Connor is a well rounded character and his arc is enjoyable and heartwarming to read, especially his family values and relationship with his son. I am usually a fan of enemies to lovers but this storyline dragged. The next red flag was the pregnancy trope and pregnancy trap (I read about this in a review when deciding whether to DNF or not) which mimics what Adam went through in his previous relationship, which he grows to know was the downfall of that relationship, meaning this one is also doomed. Lucy’s constant insistence she is ‘cursed’ and the lack of growth, seeking of help for her mental health, or resolve here thus far (half way) is disappointing from the protagonist and first person narrator; I’m supposed to connect with this character, cheer for her, and champion her growth and journey. I cannot bring myself to like her or appreciate her; I actually feel sorry for Adam that he is giving his all and being vulnerable whilst Lucy blames others and allows life to happen to her. I recommend book 1. I recommend you stop there.
