3.5-4 ⭐️ BOOK REVIEW
This was a great after book slump read for me. I picked up 6 books in the past week and haven't been able to get more than a third of the way into any of them, until Wildcat.
This was fun and playful and gave some sweet MMC vibes that made me lean into Leo's moments. This couple has a hot and steamy moment at the beginning, where we watch all the sparks lay out...but they don't know who the other is to them yet. Little do they know that forbidden love is in their future, because they CAN'T be together. Her father is the hockey coach...of the team that he is on...so that's a no go.
This book gives us a great love story for us to breathe in, but it also gives us a story of our fmc finding her voice and her strength through the mess that is adulthood. I mean are we supposed to have it all figured out, because I definitely relate to Scarlett in this sense of living my mess and just trying to get through.

Wildcat seemingly starts off incredibly strong, but then sadly falls apart in the third act.

Cute, fun, sweet and quick read/listen. I enjoyed the book and it was refreshing to get a non-manwhore for a change.
While Scarlett was a fun character to read about, she irked me. I get it, she's young but girl. He clearly wants you and to be seen with you. He's invited you to places and can't keep his hands off of you but you are still stuck in the past with your insecurities with your ex. And don't get me started on the ex!
I hate third act breakups, especially when they are unnecessary.
