The writing style took a bit for me to get used to, but it settled in by 25% of the book. Admittedly I also really hate that the MCs are Locke and Key, but you know what, I got over it eventually. This book could have trimmed some things - less characters, one less crime, so that there would be more room to breathe with our characters. Pacing was a bit of an issue.

That being said, I just really liked the leads together. I’m not fully sold on the story, but admittedly I’m invested in this rather instalove romance, and I want to read more.
