This book suffers the same way that many finales to fantasy series suffer, in that large swaths of it are long-winded descriptions of travel and preparation for the climactic battle ahead, which slows the pace way down and makes it hard to keep reading to get to the good stuff. There are multiple plot aspects that hadn't been introduced or were only briefly mentioned in previous entries that go from A to Z during this book, which would be fine if they were more entertaining. However, there are still plenty of tense and exciting moments that keep the story afloat and the resolution is satisfying enough. It would be on par with the rest of the series were it not for the amount of trimmable fat.
Graphic: Death, Suicide, Violence, Murder, and War
Moderate: Adult/minor relationship, Confinement, and Cultural appropriation
